Adjudication
An adjudication is generally a process by which a formal decision is arrived at, either in a court, arbitration or other process.
However, the term Adjudication is used these days, to refer specifically to a statutory ADR process process used in the construction industry. The construction adjudicator provides a quick and effective way of resolving disputes arising out of construction contracts. The adjudicator, appointed by the parties pursuant to legislation, is required to make an interim decision usually within 28 days of referral.
